The Scott R. MacKenzie Foundation funds leading-edge human genetic research (DNA, RNA, protein) to advance cures for cancer, lung disease, diabetes and heart disease
The Scott R. MacKenzie Foundation is a family-based American philanthropic organization dedicated to funding leading-edge human genetic sequencing and research (DNA, RNA, protein) and giving hope to advancing cures.
Funding is available for American-based organizations with a mission to find a cure for:
- Lung disease (including asthma)
- Heart disease
Through its grants, the Foundation seeks to identify scientific researchers and centers of excellence dedicated to working collaboratively in sentinel genome sequencing and advanced research to identify risks of disease through genetic detection and to develop new treatment pathways designed to improve lives.
The Foundation will also consider funding collaborative community partners led by qualified organizations that work together to launch and sustain programs in communities to bring about awareness of the new frontier of genome sequencing and research to future generations. Please note that only qualified tax-exempt organizations may receive grants from the Foundation as described in greater detail on our Contact Us & FAQ page.
